Mental Health and Psychosocial Support

Overview

We make mental health support accessible, local and free of stigma. Our interventions increase access and equity, reduce stigma, support holistic wellbeing and build strategic partnerships across the health system. We train local people to lead support close to home and we extend qualified help through digital channels for those who cannot reach a counsellor in person.

What this programme includes

Community-led support and peer networks

We train local residents as mental health facilitators and peer-group leaders, which builds trust and local ownership.

Psychoeducation and awareness campaigns

We run community campaigns that de-stigmatise mental illness and teach people to recognise and manage mental health concerns.

Online counselling and mental health through sport

We extend confidential support through digital channels, and our national mental health football gala puts young people at the front of advocacy while supporting physical and mental wellbeing.
